The second in a three-microcredential series, this Intermediate Accounting (Skills) microcredential focuses on technology. You will build to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks, leveraging leading technology to support basic accounting procedures like accounts payable and receivable, expense tracking, bank statement reconciliation, sales analysis, inventory management and more. You will learn how to leverage technology to develop critical business reports, tables and charts supporting the data analysis that will inform business decisions. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study, to take two national certification exams-the QuickBooks Certified User certification and the National Certification Bookkeeper's (NCB) Exam. Those new to the field can immediately apply for positions such as bookkeeper, accounting clerk, accounts payable or receivable associate. This microcredential can also be a great fit for those who have been working in the field and want to formalize their credentials and add specialized skills. Note: Completion of the Introduction to Accounting (Skills) microcredential is a pre-requisite to begin this second credential in the series.
Credits earned in the completion of this microcredential can be applied toward completion of a related certificate or degree program. It is a building block that gives you a jump start to education and career success.
