The CASAC-T (Preparation) Educational Core II microcredential is the next step in your journey to supporting those in recovery and pursuing the CASAC-T (Credential for Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling-Trainee). It is the second of a three-microcredential series focused on advanced skills in chemical dependency treatment and provides students with an internship in an approved OASAS setting and seminar. The internship will consist of 168 hours which can be applied to the required clock hours needed for the CASAC-T certification exam. You will develop essential skills related to assessment, in-take, and treatment planning. Successful completion prepares you for advancement to the Core III microcredential.
Credits earned in the completion of this microcredential can be applied toward completion of a related certificate or degree program. It is a building block that gives you a jump start to education and career success.
