Understanding and appreciating the experiences, values, and challenges of people from different backgrounds are critical skills for all, including employees, managers, human resource associates, and leadership teams. This Diverse Perspectives microcredential enhances awareness of diverse perspectives and intercultural frameworks and builds skillsets for acting and communicating with intention to foster inclusive environments where people feel valued, respected, and included. This is a microcredential central to SUNY's established general education program for degree-seeking students; it can also be a great fit for first-time supervisors and those seeking to move into a supervisory position, for long-standing managers welcoming diverse teams, for human resources teams, and those seeking to work in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion roles. The microcredential includes a capstone project that can customized to meet the learner's interests or needs. This microcredential open to all who want to more effectively communicate and interact with those around them.
