Forensic Anthropology
What you'll learn
The Forensic Anthropology microcredential is intended for working professionals who want to gain specialized skills pertaining to the locating, excavating, collecting and analyzing of human remains. First, you will analyze forensic taphonomy, including an overview of forensic anthropology and archaeology. Then, you will learn the theories and practices of locating clandestine graves. Finally, you will study human skeletal identification methods, such as biological profile, radiographic comparison, craniofacial superimposition, stable isotopes and DNA. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study toward one of three bachelor's degrees and provides existing law enforcement professionals with the skills needed to keep pace or advance.
