Foundations of Trauma-Informed Care
What you'll learn
Individuals today are more likely than not to have a history of trauma, this includes individuals you work with and supervise; those you support and serve. In this Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) microcredential, you will gain essential, broadly in-demand knowledge and skills. You will understand the impact of trauma, learn how to recognize symptoms, create an environment of safety and trust, and to build trauma informed communication skills and responses. Importantly, you will learn how to build resilience and avoid re-traumatization. Successful completion of this microcredential provides specialized skills necessary for existing professionals to keep pace or advance in healthcare, education, social work, rehousing, addiction rehabilitation, human services, community-based service organizations and more. This microcredential is open to individual leaners and also to teams/offices (group pricing may be available).
