This post primary MRI microcredential provides the education requirements for Post Primary certification from the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists). Note that in order to enroll in this microcredential you must already hold an approved certification in Sonography from AART or a designated supporting discipline certification from AART, NMTCB or ARDMS. The focus of this microcredential is on cross-sectional anatomy, computed tomography, scan parameters, and patient preparation and communication. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares all for continued study, fulfills the education requirements for ARRT post-primary certification (students will need to have or obtain required clinical experience before applying), and provides existing professionals with specialized skills to help them keep pace or advance.
Credits earned in the completion of this microcredential can be applied toward completion of a related certificate or degree program. It is a building block that gives you a jump start to education and career success.
