Launch your administrative career in healthcare with this Medical Records Specialist microcredential! You will build essential skills in medical office procedures and also gain foundational skills in medical coding and billing. Successful completion of this microcredential requires passing one of two national certification exams: the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA): Medical Administrative Assistant Certification (MAAC) or the Medical Coder and Biller Certification (MCBC). Upon completion you will be ready for continued study as well as to immediately apply for Administrative Medical Assistant, Medical Biller/Medical Coder, and/or Medical Secretary positions in a wide range of healthcare settings.
