Starting the certification process with this Direct Support Provider (DSP) I microcredential! Direct Support Professionals support and advocate for and with people with developmental disabilities. This microcredential, the first in a series of two, is designed to recognize and elevate this important profession. The DSP I microcredential provides the education, skills and training necessary to earn national certification from the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). Eligible students who complete each microcredential and certification can earn $750 stipends. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study, prepares existing DSPs for advancement, and those new to the profession to apply for DSP positions.
