Elevate your skillset with this Direct Support Professional (DSP) III microcredential! DSPs support and advocate for and with people with developmental disabilities as they engage in their communities. This DSP III microcredential is the third in a series of three microcredentials designed to advance your skills and earn the related national certification from the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals. Qualified individuals may be eligible for limited time grant funding from the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) that covers all tuition, fees, books, course materials, NADSP credentialing, and educational support. Eligible students who complete each microcredential and certification can earn $750 stipends. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and readies existing DSPs for career advancement.
Credits earned in the completion of this microcredential can be applied toward completion of a related certificate or degree program. It is a building block that gives you a jump start to education and career success.
