Using pictures to communicate, to tell a story, is the focus of this Photography: Darkroom and Digital microcredential! You will gain essential skills in camera use, darkroom procedures (wet and digital), printing, and editing using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. You will learn to utilize image editing software to communicate and market effectively. Emphasis is placed on masking, blending modes, painting techniques, and advanced compositing. You will investigate approaches to manipulate raster-based graphics and utilize design to communicate conceptual elements to different audiences. Successful completion of this microcredential can advance careers in photography as well as video production, graphic design, and marketing. This microcredential is a great fit for existing professionals looking to add specialized skills. For those new to photography, this microcredential readies you for additional study, internships and to apply for entry-level positions as photographer assistant, design assistant, or junior digital communications roles.
