Earners of this microcredential will gain a strong understanding of general accounting principles as well as the core concepts, principles and practices of Government and Not-for-profit Accounting and financial reporting under the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study, internships and to immediately apply for entry-level bookkeeping and accounting clerk positions in all types of organizations, with a particular understanding of the needs of non-profit organizations.
