Launch your preschool teacher or daycare career with this Childhood Development Associate Part I microcredential! The first in a two-microcredential series, this microcredential aligns with recent accreditation changes that shift the early childhood credentialing structure away from distinct age groups (infant/toddler, preschool) toward a single unified span of birth through age five. This curriculum has been approved by the Council for Professional Recognition in Early Childhood Education and is based on a core set of competency standards. Successful completion of this microcredential readies all to continue their education in the Part II microcredential linked below and onto the Education Studies associate degree. You will also have met part of the the requirements needed to apply for a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, a nationally recognized certification awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition.
