Launch your career in advanced manufacturing and electrical assembly with this Electrical Technician microcredential. You will develop practical knowledge of electrical systems, circuit analysis, motor controls, mechanical power transmission, fluid power systems, and industry-standard safety procedures. Importantly, you will have hands-on training in wiring industrial motor control systems, working with gears and belt drives, and understanding the relationship between voltage, current, resistance, power, pressure, and flow in electrical and fluid-powered systems. Successful completion prepares all to continue their studies in the Electrical Technology associate degree program, with up to 9 earned credits by evaluation, and to immediately apply for jobs as electrical assemblers and related entry-level positions. You will have the opportunity to earn five industry-recognized SACA Gold certifications. SAGA certifications include: Electrical Systems - Smart Automation Certification Alliance; Electrical System Installation - Smart Automation Certification Alliance; Pneumatic Systems Course - Smart Automation Certification Alliance; Hydraulic Systems - Smart Automation Certification Alliance; and 5) Mechanical Power Systems - Smart Automation Certification Alliance.
