This Bookkeeping microcredential provides you with essential skills, grounded in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will understand the accounting lifecycle while gaining skills in receivables/deliverables, budgeting, cost accounting and inventory management. You will also learn essential QuickBooks software and to conduct the types of financial analyses that inform decision making. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares all for continued study in the Finance certificate and Business Accounting degrees, and to immediately apply for bookkeeping, accounts payable or receivable, or accounting clerk or assistant positions. This microcredential may be attractive to those who have been keeping the books for the family business and seeking a formal education credential to advance, or to those with related skills from roles such as cashier or bank teller to advance.
