This literacy coaching microcredential provides academic coursework and a specialized practicum to prepare literacy professionals in education with the knowledge and skills to perform the role of an elementary or secondary literacy coach. You will develop foundational knowledge of literacy, diversity and equity to design, implement and evaluate literacy curriculum and instruction, and demonstrate the ability to support classroom teachers through professional learning, leadership and coaching to meet the literacy needs of students. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you to effectively serve as a literacy coach who leads equitable, data-informed instructional practices and supports continuous improvement in reading and writing outcomes across diverse classroom settings.
