What you'll learn

This Teaching Assistant Pathway I microcredential is designed to provide foundational knowledge and skills to current and aspiring teaching assistants seeking to advance toward teacher certification and continued study in education. To reach NYS Teaching Assistant Level II certification, applicants must complete at least nine credits of college coursework. Successful completion of this microcredential satisfies the coursework requirements for the current New York State Teaching Assistant Level II certification and prepares students for continued study through the Teaching Assistant Pathway II microcredential (preparing you for Teaching Assistant III) and either the A.A.S. in Early Childhood Education or the A.S. in Early Education transfer program.
