You will learn the essential electrical fundamentals that drive the automotive industry, including circuits, magnetism, direct and alternating currents, and battery charging systems. You will gain essential skills, knowledge and experience in diagnostics and repair of the powertrain of hybrid vehicles that are electric and internal combustion engine propelled, as well as vehicles that are electric propulsion only. Successful completion of this microcredential readies you to continue your studies and to immediately apply for technician jobs. This microcredential is also a great path for those currently working with traditional gas powered vehicles seeking to add the specialized skills needed for EV and hybrid vehicles.
