This Case Management microcredential was developed in response to industry demand and has wide applicability for those working in human service settings. You will gain or strengthen essential skills in assessment, intervention and evaluation--for individuals, families, groups, agencies, and communities. You will have the opportunity to utilize what you have learned in a real-world setting. For those who hold a bachelor's degree and have the required work experience, successful completion of this microcredential contributes to your readiness for professional accreditation exams to be recognized as a Board-Certified Case Manager (CCM) from the Commission and/or Certified Social Work Case Manager (C-SWCM) from the National Association of Social Work. For those planning or pursuing degrees in fields such as human services, social work, addiction studies, psychology, this microcredential can be a valuable add-on or starting point to your degree, demonstrating your interest, initiative and motivation to succeed. *Note that those employed by the Erie County Department of Social Services may be eligible for tuition support.
