French Language & Culture Immersion
What you'll learn
Build real-world French language skills while experiencing life in a French-speaking community! This dynamic microcredential combines hands-on coursework with immersive travel to help you communicate with confidence and understand culture beyond the classroom. You will complete language coursework prior to a 3 or 5 week experience abroad, preparing you to communicate at the intermediate or above level in French and apply your language skills in a French speaking location. The immersive experience includes linguistic and sociocultural activities designed to provide opportunities to increase language and culture fluency. Successful completion of this microcredential will enhance your ability to understand cultural values, and meaningfully and effectively communicate, essential skills for those planning to work across borders and cultures. This microcredential is open to students who are matriculated at any SUNY campus and who meet eligibility requirements of the institution hosting the immersive experience.
