What you'll learn

This CNC Operator microcredential is the third in the Machining series. Designed to have value on its own and in conjunction with the related microcredentials highlighted below, this microcredential focuses on CNC Mill and Lathe operation. You will be able to read and interpret the code used by CNC machines and be able to relate code to machine operations. You will be able to set up and prove CNC milling and turning programs on CNC Mills and Lathes. Successful completion of this microcredential readies all to continue their education, through the Machining Series and onto the Machine Tool A.A.S. degree. While shops have varying requirements for entry level roles, this microcredential prepares you to immediately apply for entry level CNC operator positions under the supervision of an experienced supervisor.
