What you'll learn
In this Building Controls microcredential, you will explore the power of building controls and through hands-on applications build in-demand skills in installation and maintenance of equipment. You will will learn about building automation systems (BAS) with an emphasis on HVAC. You will examine AC and DC circuits, learn how to interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot equipment, explore motors, and proper installation methods of equipment. Successful completion of this microcredential readies you to continue your studies and to immediately apply for entry level positions such as controls installer/wireman or BAS junior technician under an experienced supervisor, or support technician.
