Quantitative Methods in Finance
What you'll learn
This Quantitative Methods in Finance microcredential is designed to help you build in-demand, quantitative, analytical skills. Your initial course builds proficiency in statistical inference and regression techniques, using real-world economic and financial datasets. You will then study advanced regression and forecasting models and methods of analyzing time-series and cross-section data. In your final course, you will apply your data analytics knowledge to financial asset pricing, valuation, investment strategies, and forecasting using Python and R to conduct empirical analyses. Successful completion of this microcredential earns academic credit in the UAlbany Economics Master's degree, and provides existing finance professionals with the specialized skills needed to keep pace or advance to more senior roles in financial services, investment management or consulting.
