This Local Government: Managing Conflict Through Communication microcredential provides you with in-demand skills needed to manage conflict more strategically. You will strengthen your ability to facilitate, mediate, and negotiate in the context of the key responsibilities of local government. Grounded in an understanding of the structure, function, and policy processes of state and local governments, the skills you build will be directly applicable to individuals or small group interactions as well as public meetings and events. Notably, successful completion of this microcredential counts toward the Certified Town Official (CTO) program of the New York Association of Towns. Check with the campus about possible scholarship funding through the New York Municipal Empowerment Foundation.
