The Direct Support Professional (DSP) II microcredential moves you to the next level of work with people with developmental disabilities and the opportunity to earn your DSP II certification from the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). It is the second in a three-part series, and qualified individuals may be eligible for limited time grant funding from the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) that covers all tuition, fees, books, course materials, NADSP credentialing, and educational support. Eligible students who successfully complete each microcredential and certification can earn $750 stipends. Successful completion readies you for continued study and career advancement. For those new to the field, you will be ready to immediately apply for DSP positions.
Credits earned in the completion of this microcredential can be applied toward completion of a related certificate or degree program. It is a building block that gives you a jump start to education and career success.
