Youth Sport Coaching & Leadership
What you'll learn
Successful completion of this microcredential prepares students to lead, manage, and administer youth sport programs through a comprehensive focus on leadership, administration, ethical decision-making, and coaching. In addition to focusing on coaching techniques, this microcredential emphasizes the organizational, managerial, and leadership competencies required to design, oversee, and sustain safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate youth sport programs. Students who complete this microcredential will be equipped to effectively manage, coach, and/or administer youth athletic programs, ensuring positive experiences that support both athletic development and personal growth. Coursework develops practical and ethical leadership skills applicable to a wide range of youth sport settings, including community-based programs, schools, clubs, and nonprofit organizations.
