What you'll learn
This post-primary Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) microcredential is designed to meet the educational requirements for ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) post-primary MRI certification. Coursework focuses on cross-sectional anatomy, magnetic resonance imaging principles and procedures, scan parameters, patient preparation, patient communication, and image quality. Successful completion of this microcredential satisfies the educational component of ARRT's post-primary MRI certification requirements. Candidates must also complete the required structured clinical experience and meet all additional ARRT eligibility requirements before applying for certification. This microcredential provides existing professionals with specialized skills designed to help them keep pace or advance in their careers. ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: To enroll in this microcredential, students must already hold a qualifying certification in Radiography, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, or another ARRT-approved supporting discipline, as recognized by ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB.
