Technician Fundamentals - HVAC
What you'll learn
This Technician Fundamentals - HVAC microcredential provides you with the essential skills and hands-on experience you need to join the growing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning workforce. You will get started with an innovative bootcamp designed to help you quickly learn the fundamentals: HVAC system components; electricity fundamentals including wiring schematics; plumbing fundamentals, including piping configurations; refrigerant handling, heat exchangers, diagrams and symbols, and more. You will study all aspects of the requirements to properly distribute AC electric power in a commercial/business facility, consistent with the standards of the National Electric Code. Grounded by essential skills in diagnostics and preventative maintenance, you will put what your knowledge to work in a real-world setting with a dedicated internship. Importantly, you will be prepared to take nationally recognized certification exams: 608 Technician Certification and OSHA 10.
