This microcredential is ideally suited for those who want to focus their management career within the healthcare industry. This program combines diverse course material from business, informatics, and medical terminology. In a healthcare office, management of patient services is a central role that includes the crucial tasks of patient registration and scheduling, insurance verification, billing, payment collection, managing patient records, and effective oral and written communication with patients and family to combine healthcare and business expertise to improve the quality of health services. Positions in larger practices may include, human resource planning, implementing, and overseeing office policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and supervising office staff. You will learn medical terminology that is the framework for effective communication among all levels of health care workers.
