New York's growing manufacturing industry is driving expansion of its Industrial Maintenance workforce. This Technician Fundamentals - Industrial Maintenance microcredential provides you with the education, skills, and hands-on experience you need to succeed. You will begin with an innovative bootcamp designed to help you quickly learn the fundamentals: foundations of electricity, needed mathematic applications and conversions, skills for precise measurement, and more. You will learn how to properly distribute AC electric power in a commercial/business facility, consistent with the standards of the National Electric Code. Importantly, you will earn the nationally recognize OSHA Logout Tagout (LOTO) safety certification. The microcredential also familiarizes you with best practices in continuous improvement from the LEAN and Six Sigma models. Grounded by essential skills in diagnostics and preventative maintenance, you will put your knowledge to work in a real-world setting with a dedicated internship. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you to continue your education and readies you to immediately apply for Industrial Maintenance Technician positions.
