Learn strategies for bringing together residents, experts and local governments to guide the physical, economic and social growth of a neighborhood or city through this Community Planning microcredential. Grounded in urban planning theory and practice, you will build in-demand skills needed to help stakeholders define shared goals, manage land use, create equitable housing and improve local infrastructure. You will be able to identify key issues and challenges, analyze the effectiveness of community development programs, and create community development plans with actionable strategies for implementation and evaluation of impact. Credits earned through this microcredential can be applied toward a graduate certificate in urban policy or the master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
