Prepare to become a recertified or simply refresh your knowledge and skills as a Nurse Assistant by completing this FLCC course and passing the New York State certification exam. Our non-credit program includes classroom training in the principles and practices of patient care and clinical experience in a long-term care setting. Applicants should be tactful, patient, dependable, understanding, have a desire to help people, and have good communication skills. Nurse Assistants must be in good health so a physical exam, including a State-regulated test for tuberculosis and hepatitis, is required. An orientation and interview are required prior to registering for this course.
