The EMT original course is an intensive training program designed to train individuals to provide emergency care to patients in the pre-hospital setting based on the scope of practice defined by the New York State Department of Health and the U.S. Department of Transportation Emergency Medical Technician curriculum. Students who complete this course will be eligible to take the New York State Department of Health EMT Certification exam. The course spans the length of an academic semester and allows completers to enter the Paramedic certificate and degree programs (students must have their EMT-Basic certification to be eligible for the paramedic programs).
The estimated cost listed is tuition only. Books, fees, and other expenses are not included and cannot be covered by Part-Time TAP for Non-Degree Programs.
