What you'll learn

Take your manufacturing skills to the next level with the Advanced Manufacturing Essential Skills 2 microcredential. The second of a two-microcredential series, this microcredential is designed to refine and expand your skills. Earners will become proficient in blueprint reading, pneumatics, measurement, and quality control-expanding your readiness for technician, assembler, operator, or quality control positions. This program was developed in partnership with 50 transportation equipment and aerospace companies in the North Country, working to align microcredentials to local industry needs and job openings. While this microcredential is a non-credit offering, completion of both AMES 1 and 2 will provide students with 3 credits and waives the requirement to take the MEC 100 course in the Introduction to Mechanical Technology microcredential. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study, apprenticeship and to immediately apply for technician, assembler or operator positions.
