Step into the world of precision manufacturing with this CNC Pre-Apprenticeship microcredential! Intentionally smaller than the CNC Operator or Programmer microcredentials, the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Pre-Apprenticeship microcredential is designed to ensure that you know essential machine shop safety and have basic knowledge of the machine and the processes that ensure quality and safety. You will have hands-on experience on a CNC machine to understand set-up, tooling, operation and safety, programming, cutting techniques and more. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and readies you to transition into the apprenticeship role.
