Join the growing field of Clean Technology, where opportunities are expanding to support New York State's ambitious Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA). Clean Technology jobs are growing as the State works to meet the objectives of the CLCPA to empower every New Yorker to fight climate change at home, at work, and in their communities. This unique microcredential is designed to provide you with both foundational knowledge and understanding, as well as specific, essential skills in the areas of solar installation and energy auditing. You will study green building, building science and health impact assessments. You will understand the distinction between being connected to the grid vs. off-grid, you will be able to identify the technology that drives clean energy and gain specific experience with photovoltaic systems, electrical codes, electrical load, and energy audits. This microcredential is a good fit for existing professionals seeking to add specialized skills as well as those seeking to begin careers in clean energy. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study, internships across industries, and to immediately apply for jobs as a solar installer or energy auditor.
