Take efficiency, productivity, and quality to the next level with this Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship microcredential! The world of advanced manufacturing in New York is broad and diverse but driven by a common set of standards and fundamental concepts. You will gain essential skills in metrology-the measurement and precision that allows components to fit and work together, learn how to read technical drawings, understand basic manufacturing processes and maintenance, and adhere to shop safety standards. You will be prepared to take the nationally recognized Certified Production Technician certification exam from the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC). Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study, formal apprenticeship and to immediately apply for entry-level assistant technician positions working under an experienced supervisor.
