The first in a three-microcredential series, the Introduction to Accounting (Skills) microcredential is the key to launching your finance career. In this microcredential you will study General Accepted Accounting Principles and the accounting life cycle, building foundational skills in financial statement creation and analysis, assets and liabilities, and budgeting. You will be introduced to the key functions of personal finance, understanding investments and estate planning. Then, depending on your current experience level, you can customize your microcredential by taking an introductory course in computer applications or a more advanced course in using common computer programs for basic business analysis. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and internships.
This microcredential is stackableCredits earned in the completion of this microcredential can be applied toward completion of a related certificate or degree program. It is a building block that gives you a jump start to education and career success.
