What you'll learn
Support New York teachers and students with this Teaching Assistant Level II microcredential! The first in a two-microcredential series, this microcredential is for those already serving in a Teaching Assistant I position. While specific responsibilities vary based on district, grade level and classroom, teaching assistants provide instructional support, student assistance, classroom management, assessment and grading, and more. You will gain an understanding of educational theories, learning styles, and the P-12 educational system while honing essential skills and classroom strategies. You will apply what you have learned at your place of employment with dedicated field hours associated with this microcredential. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and the transition to Teaching Assistant Level II.
