Advance your skills with this Early Childhood Education Fundamentals microcredential. This microcredential is designed for those who are working with or want to work with children from birth to 5 years of age. You will learn about the developmental needs of infants and toddlers and interconnections between history, theory, culture, research and practice in diverse educational settings. You will gain practical skills in designing developmentally appropriate programming and enhance teaching competencies in math and science. Importantly, you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge to work through fieldwork assignments at your current employer or at a setting arranged for you. Succession completion of this microcredential prepares all to continue their studies, prepares those new to the field for entry level positions, and provides those who hold the Teaching Assistant I designation to apply for Teaching Assistant II state certification.
