What you'll learn
Take your Direct Support Professional skills to the next level with this DSP III microcredential. Direct Support Professionals advance the care of people with developmental disabilities, supporting and advocating for and with them. This microcredential is the final in a series of three and it prepares you to earn the DSP III national certification from the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). Thanks to a partnership with the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), limited time grant funding is available to pay for your tuition, fees, books, course materials, NADSP credentialing, and educational support. Eligible students who successfully complete each microcredential and certification can earn $750 stipends. The time is now to start on a pathway to advanced skills in the human services field and to earn academic credit that can be applied toward related degrees. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and prepares existing DSPs for career advancement.
