What you'll learn

The Infant Toddler Studies microcredential prepares you for immediate employment in an early childhood infant or toddler classroom setting. Through a curriculum aligned with the Council for Professional Recognition Child Development Associate (CDA) Infant Toddler Subject Areas, you will learn how to create a safe and healthy learning environment for children. You will understand and be able to recognize all phases of infant and toddler development, create individualized learning programs, observe and assess children as you work to advance their intellectual development. You will develop programs to support language, literacy and social skills. You will also learn how to support children with disabilities, including an understanding of the Individualized Education Program (IEF) Process. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and to apply for immediate positions in infant and toddler settings.
