With this microcredential you will gain a strong foundation in both areas. You will be able to pronounce, spell, and define medical terms and also recognize “root” words, prefixes, and suffixes that support your learning of new terms as they arise. You will be able to accurately apply CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for patient encounters and services, list current coding guidelines, and enter codes onto forms and into electronic billing systems to ensure optimum reimbursement.
