What you'll learn

Earners of this microcredential will demonstrate a basic understanding of computer aided manufacturing. You will gain hands-on experience in developing Computer-Numerical Control (CNC) programs and methods to machine mechanical components. You will learn how to edit G-code programs and how to create toolpaths using a computer aided manufacturing software program. You will also learn how to design jigs and fixtures for machining operations. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and to immediately apply for apprenticeships or CNC technician positions working under an experienced supervisor.
