Direct Support Professional III

Moving forward to DSP III! This microcredential is the third in a series of three that offers a unique career and academic opportunity for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and those interested in joining the profession. DSPs work with and support individuals with developmental disabilities. This third microcredential leads to national certification as a DSP III through the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). Thanks to a partnership with the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), limited time grant funding is available to pay for your tuition, fees, books, course materials, NADSP credentialing, and educational support. Eligible students who complete each microcredential and certification can earn $750 stipends. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and prepares current DSPs for advancement.
