Advance to the next level as a DSP II! This microcredential is the second in a series of three that offers a unique career and academic opportunity for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and those seeking to enter the profession. DSPs work with and support individuals with developmental disabilities. This second microcredential leads to national certification as a DSP II through the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). Thanks to a partnership with the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), limited time grant funding is available to pay for your tuition, fees, books, course materials, NADSP credentialing, and educational support. Eligible students who successfully complete each microcredential and certification can earn $750 stipends. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and prepares current DSPs for advancement.
