The semiconductor industry is growing in New York State and this microcredential is your entry point! The manufacturing of parts for this industry must happen in a contained cleanrooms, free of dust and other contaminants. This Cleanroom Technician microcredential was developed in partnership with a leading semiconductor manufacturer with facilities in New York State to help you excel in this type of environment. You will start with an overview of electrical technology fundamentals, then work to gain essential skills in digital electronics. You will be able to wire and troubleshoot a circuit, understand the operation of microcontrollers and the c-programming techniques used to make it work-the foundation of the sterilizing process. You will also understand the fundamental concepts of nanotechnology. You will master related computer literacy and be able to make commonly required data tables and graph various data. importantly, you will gain hands-on experience in a cleanroom environment. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and to apply for entry or junior level technician roles in the semiconductor industry, the pharmaceutical industry, even certain healthcare environments.
