This Direct Care Practice: DSP II microcredential is the second in a two-microcredential series and aligns with the national certification offered to Direct Support Professionals through The National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). DSPs work with, support and advocate for and with people with intellectual disabilities. This DSP II microcredential enhances your skills in observation and evaluation as well as community inclusion and engagement. There is a focus on communications skills and professionalism and continued attention to the professional code of ethics. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and prepares existing DSPs for advancement.
