What you'll learn

This Direct Care Practice: DSP I microcredential is the first in a series of two that aligns with the national certification offered to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) through the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). DSPs work with, support and advocate for and with people with intellectual disabilities. This microcredential enhances your skills in crisis prevention and intervention and healthy lifestyle practices, all with a focus on person-centered practice and a professional code of ethics. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares all for continued study, prepares existing DSPs for advancement, and readies those new to the profession to immediately apply for DSP positions.
