As an apprentice, the benefits to your education and career are numerous. Apprentices carry little to no student debt upon completion of the program. You’ll earn as you learn. In addition to a SUNY education, you receive real work experience and broadened skill sets that lead to a nationally recognized certificate and the opportunity to continue to work toward a college degree.

Who Can Participate in the Apprenticeship Programs at SUNY?
- Must be 18 years old (no maximum age limit).
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED or TASC).
- Possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness and desire to learn and work in the trade you choose.
