In the dynamic world of Business Services, particularly in areas such as client management, operational efficiency, project coordination, and organizational development, having a skilled and well-trained workforce is essential to drive your company’s success.
Empower Your Business Growth with Support from SUNY!
Establishing a Registered Apprenticeship Program tailored to your company's needs is not just a strategic decision; it’s an investment in your future success. Here’s why:
Examples of apprenticeable occupations for Business Services include:
See a comprehensive list of apprenticeable occupations SUNY supports, as well as a non-exhaustive list of Related Instruction programs SUNY colleges have already provided. Many colleges are prepared to support roles beyond those listed.
See a full list of approved occupations from the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) including trade outlines listing the skills apprentice’s gain. Can’t find one that applies to your organization? Not to worry, SUNY and NYSDOL will work with you to develop new occupation titles.
Additionally, the State of New York offers incentives for companies participating in Registered Apprenticeship programs:
Empire State Apprenticeship Tax Credit (ESATC):
This program provides tax incentives to certified New York State Registered Apprenticeship sponsors for hiring newly qualified Registered Apprentices, helping offset the costs associated with apprenticeship employment.
Apprenticeship Expansion Grant (AEG) (PAUSED):
AEG provides funding to cover various costs associated with training apprentices, including Related Instruction, On-the-Job Training (OJT), books, and tools. This grant is a valuable resource for further enhancing your apprenticeship program.
